We begin with a scenic drive across the island to the starting point of a peaceful nature walk. From there, you’ll follow a historic stone path through untouched Mediterranean landscapes toward the breathtaking Blaca Hermitage, nestled deep within a canyon.
Once home to Glagolitic monks who lived in complete isolation for centuries, this 16th-century monastery is now a museum filled with ancient books, astronomical instruments, handmade furniture, and stories of a remarkable way of life. You’ll enjoy a guided tour of the complex and hear the incredible story of how this self-sufficient community survived for over 400 years.
After the tour, we stop for a light Dalmatian-style marenda (snack) in this peaceful setting — surrounded by nature and history.
